So, I think a lot. And I was thinking today. And I realized something that I thought might be worthwhile to share.
Let me start with a fact. It is not a fact because it's been tested (although perhaps there is proof in history) but it is a fact because anyone who's ever known another person and that person can be themselves knows this to be true. The fact is: even in anarchy people will get married.
You don't need government to get married. Especially not a government that is secular such as the United States (check the constitution it should mention being secular somewhere). Marriage is more a cultural and religious thing. I would even call marriage as being something so fundamental that it goes beyond culture and religion because it exists in all societies that I know of. The rules and standards may vary but marriage exists everywhere.
That is why I have a question. Why do people need marriage between anything other than a man and woman to be legalized when it is not the government's job to define marriage? The U.S. does not tell us what we are "legally" allowed to eat or when we are "legally" allowed to sleep. Marriage is basically one of those fundamental rights.
Of course marriage may not be recognized by the government. And this completely fine, because the only reason that the government even provides such a service as recognizing marriage is because of taxes and other mostly monetary benefits.
This means people are completely free to marry whomever they please as long as it does not involve registration with the government or a public service performed by public official. A public official performing a private service off-duty should be completely legitimate. Besides that people can follow whatever marriage ceremony they so chose whether it be by a priest in a church or a friend in a pool. It is all within the rights of being a U.S. citizen. They can exchange rings, they can kiss, they can promise, they can salute. It ain't illegal.
I know that there is one more small teeny tiny problem to this. That when people see a chance to discriminate they get violent. Now there is one more fact that some people choose to ignore and that is power. Power is the freedom of choice. Plain and simple. It is being able to take, to give, to love, to hate. It is yelling, it is screaming, it is comforting. Not a lot of people will accept that those with power should get there way. But it is true. They don't accept this rule of power because they don't understand power. Power is not just force, it is friends, it is money, it is courage, it is fame, it is generosity, it is silence, it is voice.
You see all those people who will hurt you if you get married to whomever you want? You know what to do? You become more powerful than them. You make them your foundation. You make them part of the solution. Because if you can't beat 'em, you join 'em. And that ain't givin' in. It's power. That is the power of adaptation and the power of creation. Because there will always be a leader and a follower. Because the leader is powerful. Because the follower is powerful too.

Solutions
So I have a dream. Or goal or ambition in life. This dream involves finding solutions to the different problems humanity and the world as a whole is faced with today and tomorrow and those that have followed from the past.
I wasn't really sure what to do with this blog that I created. First I thought I would just post random stuff that I want to share with the world. Now I know something more specific that I want to share with the world. I want to find solutions to problems and I will share them through this blog.
So I used to have a pet turtle. In an effort to be unique and bestow upon my pet a worthy name I took the phrase "Man's Toe" in reference to the relatively small size of my pet (he was actually a regular sized turtle and I am prone to exaggeration). I then replaced the letter M with the letter P to get a name. Hence, Pantoe. I also like naming things, which is ironic considering I'm really bad at names. Not just people's names, names of things, objects, places, abstract concepts, etc.
Pantoe didn't really do much. He was our pet though. Because he didn't do much it was hard to tell what he was thinking, like you might be able to do with a dog. I used to spend a lot of time trying to get inside Pantoe's head. The conclusion I reached about Pantoe's thoughts were that he was really focused on escaping. The conclusion I reached and how I reached it is not the point I am trying to make here. The point is that, Pantoe may be the first living thing whose mind I tried to get into and understand. This was during my elementary and middle school years.
I feel that it is coincidentally fitting that a blog that I am devoting to finding solutions for humanity is named for my pet Pantoe, for he may be the one who first taught me how deeply it was possible to walk in another person's shoes. And in order to find solutions, I will need to be able to do that.
And so, my journey begins.

New Project
Well, so turns out scantalating takes so much time and I'm really inefficient at it. So here is a shout out to my other interests. Reading. Primarly Fiction. Primarily Adventurous Fiction. So I am really into this other author Kelley Armstrong (her writing is so much better than the Twilight series and much more interesting and characters are realistic) Well I wanted to read one of the short stories that is connected to the Darkest powers trilogy. However there is such a queue to get the electronic copy from NYPL that I really couldn't wait any longer. So I read the story from Google Books and Amazon previews. I was really annoyed that I couldn't find and read this story online that was published 1.5 yrs ago in one sitting. So in an effort have others avoid the same pain I will post the story here in parts and break it up into chapters. It is purely to avoid such pain in the future, I have no intention of taking away from the author's profits or anything, and hope I don't get hit with copy right infringement or anything. So I am breaking it up into chapters. Enjoy :) and Shhhh!
